I graduated from the University of Sheffield with an MA in Urban Design and Planning in 2019, following an Honours Degree in Geography at the University of Hull. My passion for Planning and Design originated from my undergraduate thesis which explored development within an idyllic setting. In between my university studies I worked for a year at an environmental consultancy, where I gained a professional understanding of the industry, which fuelled my desire to pursue Planning and Urban Design.

By having a multi-disciplinary Masters, I am able to combine my Planning and Urban Design expertise to support multi-faceted projects. I believe in the importance of inclusive design and the role that Planning and Design can play, ensuring developments identify and cater for diverse needs, delivering solutions to the needs of all groups within communities, including successful and well-used places and spaces.

Since joining P&DG, I have worked with colleagues on a range of projects including residential schemes, the restoration of Listed Buildings, Care Home schemes and the redevelopment of brownfield land for a variety of uses, from commercial to student accommodation proposals. I am experienced in producing detailed Site Appraisals and Planning and Heritage Statements as well as preparing and submitting planning applications. In order to visually demonstrate concepts and explain proposals, I am also experienced in using AutoCAD, Sketchup and the Adobe Suite.

I became a Chartered Town Planner in May 2023 through the Associate route as a dual-qualified member of the team and am also a committee member of Nottingham Women in Construction.
