Masterplanning is central to P&DG’s project work and portfolio. We believe in developing a good masterplan for a site that focuses on building up a comprehensive and fully integrated infrastructure framework that is reflective of local context and community needs. A well-designed masterplan that is urban design led will inform and determine a successful practical layout.

Our in-house expertise covers the full masterplanning process, from initial sketch design ideas through masterplan frameworks to detailed masterplan layout design. We have extensive urban design and planning experience in delivering a wide range of different levels and scales of masterplanning, from smaller infill sites to large scale sustainable urban extensions and complete garden village concepts. Our design expertise covers hand drawn concept ideas, accurate AutoCAD based plans through to 3D visualisation and character illustration that bring layouts to life.

There is an overlap with and an element of placemaking in all our masterplan work, which is based on sound urban design principles and designing for responsive environments that have community, environmental and sustainable objectives as core values.

We base our masterplan solutions on site specific and local contextual analysis, and establishing comprehensive opportunities and constraints plans for a site. All our masterplans are high quality presentations, OS AutoCAD based, and enhanced in Photoshop and Illustrator where appropriate.
