Planning and Design Group (UK) Limited (P&DG) was formed in January 2013 by Managing Director, Richard Hall. Richard has over 20 years experience in Planning and Urban Design in both public and private sectors and has built a strong reputation in the Midlands and South of England delivering a wide range of planning projects.
Richard Hall, together with fellow Directors, Bob Woollard and David Peck lead the Planning and Design Group team of professional Town Planners and Urban Designers.
P&DG has developed a significant and well proven track record in site identification, strategic promotion, appeals and delivery of projects of all shapes and sizes, large and small, simple and complex.

Richard Hall is a qualified Planner and Urban Designer, and a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI). Richard studied at the University of Westminster where he was awarded a degree in Town Planning, a postgraduate diploma in Urban Planning and a Masters degree in Urban Design. Richard has worked in London, the South East and the Midlands and has experience of the public and private sectors including Ealing Borough Council, and The Halpern Partnership - a private architectural practice in the City of London.
Joining Andrew Martin Associates (AMA) - a private Planning Practice, in 1994, Richard quickly progressed from Planner to Associate and by 2001 had become an owning Director. In 2005 Richard opened a Midlands Office and became Regional Director of AMA Midlands developing a strong client base and reputation for delivering high quality, independent planning, urban design and landscape design advice.
In 2009, Andrew Martin Associates Limited, including AMA Midlands, became part of Capita Symonds and Richard continued to lead the Midlands team maintaining and developing an integrated approach to planning, masterplanning and urban design.
In 2013, Richard became the Founder and Managing Director of a brand new Planning Consultancy, Planning and Design Group (UK) Limited - (P&DG).
Richard has been a guest lecturer and course reviewer at a number of universities across England, and currently is a guest lecturer and adviser to Loughborough University's Faculty of Civil Engineering.
Richard has also had several articles published in various national magazines including Planning and Estates Gazette, and has been interviewed about Planning Issues on local and national radio and TV.
