ASSOCIATE URBAN DESIGNER
LOCATION: Head Office, Nottinghamshire
TYPE: Remote hybrid
To help strengthen the P&DG planning team and be a more experienced lead on more complex planning proposals. Lends support and reviewing capacity to the wider team including in their mentoring and development and lead a group of employees on major projects. They also contribute towards business development and wider company objectives.
- Ability to manage teams, budgets and projects.
- Experience of being an expert witness/provision of appeal evidence.
- Up to date understanding of guidance and policy.
- Strong visual communication skills, including hand drawing, Adobe Creative Suite, CAD, and ideally SketchUp.
- A proactive, innovative, and enthusiastic approach to work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to contribute positively to team dynamics.
- Effective problem-solving capabilities.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS & CAPABILITIES
- Associate Urban Designers should have ideally a minimum of 10 years’ post qualification relevant experience in Urban Design and Master Planning.
- A degree in a relevant discipline related to urban design.
- A master’s degree in Urban Design is preferred but not essential.
