Planning Approval secured for Traditional Farmhouse and New Dwellings

P&DG have obtained planning approval for the restoration of a traditional farmhouse and erection of 3 new dwellings in Nether Langwith.  The site has previously been subject of an unsuccessful planning application and appeal due to design constraints from the adjoining Conservation Area.  For P&DG to overcome such constraints we undertook a heritage appraisal analysing Nether Langwith Conservation Area and built form, to identify key design cues and principles which were then applied to the design process.  By demonstrating key design links and enhancements to the Conservation Area, the Conservation Officer praised the scheme stating

the proposed new development reflects the local distinctiveness of the historic environment without directly copying it or being pastiche
— Conservation Officer

The scheme will be highly desirable and prove to be an excellent example of quality design within the Village.
